If West End musicals and old time favourites are what your interested in, then Ferneham Hall is the place to be next Friday night,

The most successful touring show of its kind, Beyond the Barricade, is returning to Fareham for a brand new production.

The performance stars Andy Reiss, David Fawcett, Katie Leeming and Sarah Ryan, who all featured in the Les Miserable 25th Anniversary Concert at the 02 Arena, with Katie Leeming appearing with the cast on the Classical Brit Awards last month.

The four singers together with their own ensemble of talented musicians, Beyond the Barricade features songs from The Phantom of the Opera, Love Never Dies, The Jersey Boys, The Lion King, Blood Brothers, Miss Saigon and finally Les Miserables.

David Fawcett, who played the lead of Jean Valjean in the original Manchester cast of the musical in 1992, said: ‘When we first started we had been asked to do a charity show, and we did maybe half an hour of songs, and decided to make it into a full performance.

‘We did a production at the Guildhall in Portsmouth in 1996 with Faith Brown and did a production company at the Kings theatre in Southsea as well. We are delighted to be at Ferneham Hall, because the audience are quite close.

It’s a good venue, we’ve been a couple of times before and it’s massively popular.’

Tickets: £18.50 Ferneham Hall, Fareham (01329) 231942 or fernehamhall.co.uk.
