Stage One Youth Theatre have to prove they’re the very best at being bad from Thursday to Saturday as they perform Bugsy Malone at Ferneham Hall, Fareham.

The show, based on the 1976 musical gangster film, is set in New York during the prohibition era.

Unusually for the genre, all the gangsters are played by children – perfect for a youth theatre production.

The story tells of the rise of Bugsy Malone and the battle for power between Fat Sam and Dandy Dan.

Instead of real bullets the gangsters use splurge guns that cover their victims in cream.

Adam Brombley plays Bugsy Malone, Milo Baker plays Fat Sam, John Pimlott plays Dandy Dan, Sian Samways plays Blousey and Jasmin Richardson is Tallulah, Bugsy’s love interest played by Jodie Foster in the film.

Tickets: £11, call 01329 231 942.
