The youngsters, aged between six and 11, sang Under The Sea from Disney’s The Little Mermaid.

The children also made their own nautical-themed props, and yesterday afternoon performed to all their family and friends.

Cat Fyson, digital marketing officer at the theatre, said: ‘It’s something a bit different. The workshops are a good opportunity to gain confidence and make new friends.

‘It seemed to go down well. A lot of the kids don’t do a lot of drama outside of school.

‘They enjoyed it. It went fantastically well.

‘All the children were just so full of energy.’
