Whether you like it or not, Christmas isn’t too far away. The German market has arrived and the shop displays are bursting with festive goodies.

And the classic Christmas story of Ebenezer Scrooge, a mean and lonely man who prefers money to people, is at the Kings Theatre, Southsea, on Wednesday.

A Christmas Carol, with a cast of 14 actors, follows Ebenezer who on Christmas Eve is visited by the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future.

They take him on an incredible journey to show him the error of his miserable ways.

Based on the novel from the Portsmouth-born author Charles Dickens, the musical is being performed by Talkwood Productions.
