Have your say

Theatre on Ice producers, Wild Rose Ltd, brought us a truly magical production of Cinderella On Ice at the Kings Theatre, Southsea.

The internationally-acclaimed Russian Ice Stars, who are former World and Olympic skating champions, delivered a dazzling interpretation of this enchanting story.

I felt rather sceptical at first at the stage being transformed to ice. However, I can assure you the cast adapted expertly to the limitations.

We were privileged to witness the unprecedented skills of Valdis Mintals as Prince Charming and Valeria Vorobyeva as Cinderella.

The whole cast put on stunning displays of skill and control, coupled with sublime elegance.

Court jesters, Alexander Belokopytov and Ekaterina Belokopytova, performed a series of amazing routines both on and above the ice rink, which was unexpected and certainly memorable.

The choreography (by Boris Myagkov from the Bolshoi) was absolutely superb. The music featured the adapted works of composers Tchaikovsky and Johann Strauss.

My daughter Mea and I thought it was brilliant.

Until Sunday.
