Summer’s long hot days may gradually be coming to a close, but Groundlings Theatre is getting ready for an autumn season which includes classic comedy, a murder mystery and a panto.

On Thursday, Flux Theatre presents The Dumb Waiter and Saturday, September 13, sees Olaf the Viking’s Orrible Tale take to the stage at 11.30am and 2pm.

Ladies and maids of Dumptown Abbey will find out whodunnit in a murder mystery on September 21, while a secret blitz party and movie night will be held on September 28.

The Voices Choir will sing songs ranging from the 1950s to the 1980s the following day, and the theatre will put on Noel Coward’s comedy Blithe Spirit, from October 1-5.

On Saturday October 5 auditions are being held for the Groundlings Theatre’s first pantomime, Aladdin (which runs from December 12-28).

The theatre is looking for a range of local dancers and actors, children and adults, to take part in the festive production.
