Ferneham Hall is likely to be packed to the rafters for Fareham Musical Society’s latest production, The Sound Of Music.

The classic musical follows plucky nun Maria and the Von Trapp family’s adventures in Austria just before the Second World War and has proved popular with theatre goers according to FMS chairman Graeme Clements.

‘We haven’t seen ticket sales like this since our production of Oliver! 10 years ago,’ says Graeme.

‘It’s going to be a great show because a large audience always lifts the actors’ own performances.

‘There are tickets still available for all performances but we are hoping to dust off the SOLD OUT sign.’

The Sound Of Music comes to Ferneham Hall, Fareham, from September 23-27 at 7.30pm with a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm.

Tickets: £11.50-£14. Call (01329) 231942 or visit Farehammusicalsociety.com for details.
