The Glenn Miller Orchestra UK, which is performing at Ferneham Hall, Fareham on September 11, was formed in 1988 from Glenn Miller Productions in New York.

Glenn Miller was one of the most successful and best-selling recording artists throughout the Second World War, in America.

He started his orchestra in 1938, but it was re-directed by Tex Beneke after his disappearance and presumed death in 1944.

Today, the group tour all over the country, and give audiences a glimpse of the big band nostaliga of the 1940’s.

Songs in their repertoire include Let It Snow, Blue Moon, and 1812 Overture.

Tickets cost £16.50 from Ferneham Hall, Fareham, on (01329) 231942 or visit fernehamhall.co.uk.
