Guide Awards glory comes easily to some, as local actor Lewis Bailey proved with his second win for Best Amateur Actor.
Lewis won the award for his portrayal of Doctor Watson in the Humdrum production of The Hound Of The Baskervilles.
Lewis said: ‘It’s great to have won.
‘I won it before a couple of years ago and that was a shock.
‘I thought then ‘‘that’s it I’ve won it and maybe in another 10 years’ time I might win again but now it’s someone else’s turn’’.
‘But it’s great to have won it again, I think it’s a bigger shock this time actually than last time.’
He added: ‘I was sitting with the others from Humdrum tonight.
‘The play was three actors, so really it was shared between the three of us equally.
‘It was a big project we undertook.
‘We were really devising it between the three of us and so actually this is for all three.
‘It’s lovely to be taking home an award .
‘It’s quite a tasteful piece and you can see through it so it can go in front of the telly and I can still see what’s going on.’
