After rave reviews and sold-out shows, the Chichester Festival Theatre’s production of Gypsy will transfer to the Savoy Theatre in London’s West End in April.

Imelda Staunton will again star as the indomitable Momma Rose, and Jonathan Kent returns to directing duties. Produced by Michael Harrison and David Ian, this will be the first production of Gypsy seen in London for 40 years.

Considered as one of the greatest Broadway musicals, it tells the true story of burlesque artist Gypsy Rose Lee and her quest for autonomy from her ambitious showbiz mother Momma Rose.
