One of the most important figures in modern British contemporary dance is holding a one-off master class at The Point, Eastleigh tomorrow.

Dance choreographer Lea Anderson MBE founded the all-male dance company The Featherstonehaughs, and the all-female group The Cholmondeleys, and has choreographed over 100 works for them.

For over 25 years Lea has been a significant part of contemporary dance in the country, and is known for holding programmes of workshops for aspiring dancers.

Tomorrow at The Point is no different as she holds an intensive day from 11am until 6pm, and explores the choreographic devices that she draws on for her creations.

The workshop is running as part of The Point’s Space For Ideas programme, and forms part of the choreographer’s farewell tour that ends in 2012 with the disbanding of her companies.

n The workshop costs £25, and for more details contact sacha.lee@eastleigh.gov.uk or call (023) 8062 7802.
