Quite simply, this stunning production is the best panto any of my family have ever seen.
On one level, it’s a colourful, funny and a clever take on a traditional fairytale. But on another, its special 3D section leaves you utterly breathless.
The cast is strong. Nigel Havers revels in the role of baddie Fleshcreep. Lee Mead shines through as Jack with the singing voice that won him Any Dream Will Do. Jeffrey Holland is perfect as Dame Trott. And Julian Clary as Spirit of the Beans hes plenty of extravagant costumes and dry one-liners. Also, brilliant ventriloquist Paul Zerdin is Simple Simon, with puppet Sam.
Until Saturday, January 19.
