Ben Bowman started with the man in the mirror on his journey to becoming a Michael Jackson tribute act.

Now his look and performance has him performing around the country as the King of Pop, including a show tonight at the Kings Theatre in Southsea.

Joined by a live band and dancers, Ben will work through all the hits of the legendary performer, including Thriller, Billie Jean, Smooth Criminal, in the authentic costumes and with Jackson’s signature dance moves.

Man In The Mirror was one of the first songs Ben saw Michael perform live, and it has inspired him in his career. ‘The Bad Tour footage of this song was on the beginning of [concert film] Moonwalker. This film is probably the reason I do what I do. When he sings to the crowd “You know it, you’ve got to move!” it made me want to save the world.’

In a career spanning nearly five decades, Michael Jackson sold almost 400 million records.

Jackson Live in Concert is at the Kings tonight at 7.30pm. Tickets: £19.50, visit kingsportsmouth.co.uk or call (023) 9282 8282.
