The Point in Eastleigh is on the hunt for singers to form a choir for a groundbreaking performance this spring.

HUG, Verity Standen’s unique acapella sound bath, is coming to The Point in Spring 2015 after its acclaimed run at the Edinburgh Festival, which saw the performance nominated for a Total theatre Award.

It is an interactive performance for 30 people at a time. Each audience member is blindfolded experiences the performance through sound, breath and vibrations of the body as they are hugged by a choir member as they deliver the song.

Verity is looking for singers to perform in the choir for the performances at the Eastleigh venue on March 11, 12 and 13.

Open auditions for the performance are being held on January 24 from 12noon until 5pm.

Singers should have experience of choral singing and improvised performance.
