Rudyard Kipling and his little sister Trix arrived in Southsea when they were both tiny.

Inspired by historical facts, Mary Hamer’s Virginia Prize winning novel Kipling and Trix tells their story.

Opening Service

A service to celebrate the opening of Portsmouth Festivities 2015.

The Cathedral Choir, The Portsmouth Grammar School Chamber Choir and Portsmouth High School for Girls Chamber Choir sing, with music by Joseph Haydn and Gabriel Jackson.

11am

Spice Island Art Trail

Local artists showcase their work in historic venues throughout Old Portsmouth.

7.30pm

Portsmouth Choral Union

The Portsmouth Choral Union, Fareham Philharmonic Choir and Southern Pro Music Orchestra come together for one night only to perform timeless classics by Berlioz, Verdi and Wagner.
