An Irish dance champion and ex-Riverdance soloist will be premiering her own show at Fareham tonight.
Catherine Gallagher, who is known as the Queen of the Dance, was the youngest-ever competitor at just nine years old when she became the All-Ireland champion and world champion of Irish Dance.
AIR productions Ltd, the creative team behind Moscow Ballet – La Classique, returns to Fareham with the new show, called Queen Of The Dance. An ensemble of Irish step dancers will perform together, as well as having their own solo spots.
Together with her brothers, Michael Patrick and Barry John, Catherine toured with Riverdance, which was fronted by the iconic Michael Flatley.
She then moved to Budapest where she opened a highly successful school of Irish dance, which soon came an academy. Now back in the UK, Catherine’s new production features choreography and costumes designed by her.
