Opening with an endorsement from Mick Fleetwood, Rumours of Fleetwood Mac had a lot to live up to.

But their performance at the Guildhall in Portsmouth last night showed just how good they are.

The unmistakable style, and sound of Fleetwood Mac is a very difficult thing to capture, but this band recreated it with ease

In their first set, vocalists Louise Rogan and Amanda Kostadinov really caught the ’80s Fleetwood Mac sound with their soaring vocals and close harmonies. The band finished this set Silver Springs and Rhiannon with backing vocals from local female voice choir Cantando.

The second set took us back to the blues/rock roots of Fleetwood Mac, and The Guildhall really started rocking to the sounds of Black Magic Woman and Oh Well.

After a couple of gentler numbers (Landslide was a particular highlight) the band ended with a foot stomping finale – old favourites like Looking Out for Love, The Chain, Go Your Own Way, and the magnificent Tusk.

The unmistakable style, and sound of Fleetwood Mac is a very difficult thing to capture, but this band recreated it with ease. One of the best tribute acts around.
