The Lady Boys of Bangkok brought glitz, glamour and a dazzling performance to Ferneham Hall last night.

The gender-bending show kicked off with incredible costumes and perfect choreography that quickly captivated the audience. The first half included an array of solo acts that included a rendition of Rihanna’s Diamonds that was exquisitely lip synced and performed with such grace.

The bold, bright colours and bejewelled costumes continued into the second half and the audience were treated to a performance of the Village People’s YMCA, a clean but implicitly filthy version of the Sound Of Music and even a song from the popular Disney film Frozen managed to sneak in.

The best part of the show was the audience interaction and a few ‘lucky’ men were selected to join the lady boys on stage. All four of the selected volunteers provided cringeworthy but very funny performances on stage, with one looking quite forlorn when he was asked to return to his seat.

The lady boys produced an electrifying and humorous performance that was highly entertaining. Leave you dignity and self-awareness at the door and go and experience one of the most amusing nights you will ever have.
