A new show from the writers, producers and creator of Dreamboats and Petticoats is arriving at the Mayflower Theatre, Southampton, this week
From tonight until Saturday, audiences can go back to the music and magic of the early 1960s and the rock ‘n’ roll era with Save The Last Dance For Me.
Written by Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran (Goodnight Sweetheart, Birds of a Feather), the show features two teenage sisters who embark on a holiday in the summer of 1963.
Full of freedom and high spirits, they meet a handsome young American who invites them to a dance at the local U.S. Air Force base.
Save The Last Dance For Me features songs such as A Teenager in Love, Sweets For My Sweet, Little Sister and Can’t Get Used To Losing You.
Tickets cost £16 to £30.50 from the Mayflower Theatre, Southampton, on (023) 8071 1811 or go to mayflower.org.uk.
