Visitors are invited to step back in time for a day, dress-to-impress and dazzle with their impressive dance moves at The Point, Eastleigh next week.

As part of the 20th year of Eastleigh’s Dance Festival, The Point steps back in time with Ragroof Theatre Company and a very British afternoon party with tea dance on June 22.

There are resident DJ’s Desert Ivan Discs and Champagne Charlie, instant dance classes from Dorothy’s Shoes and dance displays from Ragroof’s girls and boys.

No partner is necessary so the event is suitable for experience dancers or beginners.

Audiences are invited to stay on after the Tea Dance and watch a screening of classic Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire film Follow the Fleet.

The film was screened at the re-opening of the newly refurbished Regal cinema in Eastleigh’s town centre in 1936.

Tea Dance is at The Point in Eastleigh on June 22 at 1pm, while the Fleet will be at the theatre from 4pm.

The Tea Dance costs £6 and the Fleet costs £5 to £6, with tickets for both costing £9, from The Point, Eastleigh on (023) 8065 2333 or go to
