Next month sees the start of an exciting season of Shakespearean performances at the Berry Theatre, Hedge End.

Three of Shakespeare’s best loved plays will be screened live from The Globe Theatre as part of the popular Globe On Screen season, starting on September 18 with A Midsummer Night’s Dream – the classic tale of Athenian lovers who wander into an enchanted forest where the king and queen of the fairies are quarelling.

The season continues on October 9 with Shakespeare’s tale of averice and revenge, Macbeth following the ambitious Scottish Lord who is told he is destined to occupy the throne of Scotland with murderous consequences.

The season finale on November 13 is The Tempest in which Prospero, the Duke of Milan, has been exiled to an island by his own brother and is given a chance for revenge after a fortuitous shipwreck.

All screenings for the Globe On Screen season will be at 7.30pm. Tickets: £10, concessions £8.
