A performance of Dylan Thomas’ poetry and prose is coming to the Blue Lagoon venue at Hilsea Lido on Sunday.

John Hentges will read Return Journey and A Child’s Christmas in Wales, accompanied by incidental music written by Heather Uden.

Dylan Thomas was a Welsh poet and writer who featured in over 160 broadcasts for the BBC.

He is best known for his poems ‘And death shall have no dominion’ and ‘Do not go gentle into that goodnight’.

Performance starts at 2pm.

Tickets are £5, and will be available on the door on the day.

John has recorded CDs featuring the writer’s work and has done a reading of Dylan Thomas’s The Outing filmed by Sky TV at Hay-on-Wye in 2008.

Heather Uden is a classically-trained musician who has performed opera, concert solos and in musical theatre.
