Audience members will experience a theatrical installation at The Point, Eastleigh, and question what’s real and what’s an illusion.
Memory Point is part of an 18-month project that has seen Winchester-based Platform 4 working with Southampton and Eastleigh Alzheimer’s Society to explore the effects of the memory-erasing disease.
The piece has been inspired by the many people Platform 4 has met and the audience will be guided through the old entrance and along corriders, up and down stairs, and retracing their steps.
The Point will be transformed into a theatrical installation, with audience members becoming part of the experience.
Wearing headphones, audience members will be guided by a unique soundtrack created by composer Pete Flood (of Bellowhead) through the unseen spaces as they become the backdrop for a performance.
Other artists featured in the performance include Point associate artist Nicky Bellenger and dancer Sacha Lee.
Platform 4 presents Memory Points at The Point in Eastleigh from April 26 to 28.
Tickets cost £8 to £10 from The Point, Eastleigh on (023) 8065 2333 or go to thepointeastleigh.co.uk.
