This summer a series of performance and technical workshops at the Kings Theatre, Southsea will open up the world of theatre to young people.
From Monday to Friday next week the West End Musicals workshop with Simon Barry will give budding performers aged 10-15 the chance to develop their singing, dancing and acting skills, culminating in a full production for friends and family at the end of the week.
Younger performers aged 7–12 will also have a chance to perform for friends and family with Robin and the Sherwood Hoodies, a fun retelling of the classic tale led by Lou Bundy.
There is also the chance to take part in technical summer schools which teach the skills behind the scenes of live performances.
The West End Musicals workshop runs from August 4-8 and Robin Hood and the Sherwood Hoodies runs from August 18-22, with technical workshops running on both weeks.
Workshops cost £140, or £155 with a DVD of the performance. To book, call (023) 9282 8282.
