Huge queues at Bransbury Park Butchers in Portsmouth in run-up to Christmas

The line outside the Bransbury Park Butchers in Eastney Road is snaking around the corner.
Sisters Sharon Graham, 59, and Lorraine Graham, 61, have been waiting for more than 45 minutes to get into the store.

Hide AdThey are waiting to get their hands on a turkey as well as pigs in blankets.
The sisters told The News’ photographer they are planning to spend Christmas at home with family.
Portsmouth will be in tier four for December 25, meaning it will be a much smaller occasion for residents.
The planned easing of rules for Christmas have been axed for the city, with no bubbles allowed.

Hide AdRobin Jackson, 45, who has also been standing in line, added: ‘I’m getting duck and other bits of meat, might as well make it worthwhile for waiting.
‘I will be pretty much staying inside (for Christmas), things happen don’t they.’
He said that since the tier four restrictions came in place he has been staying home and playing video games on his PC.
There were also queues reported at other butchers, such as Grover Butchers in Bishop's Waltham.
