Primark responds to rumours it is planning to reopen UK stores
and live on Freeview channel 276
The high street giant shut its doors in March as the country went into lockdown due to the coronavirus crisis.
Shoppers were advised at the time to only go out for essential shopping, such as groceries or trips to the pharmacy

Hide AdFast-food chains and restaurants have begun reopening in recent weeks as well as DIY shops, however Primark and other high strete stores currently remain shut.
In recent days, there has been speculation online that the chain was now preparing to return in the coming days.
However, Primark have now responded to the rumours and told the Mirror Online that it would not reopen until it was sure staff and customers could visit its stores safely.
A spokesman said: ‘Nothing matters more to us than the health and wellbeing of our employees and customers.

Hide Ad‘That is why we will only reopen our stores in the UK once we are convinced that it is safe and right to do so.
‘We are closely following all safety advice from government and will treat this as the minimum standard across all our stores.’
Primark does not currently sell any of its stock online and has no plans to do so.
