Hide AdIt comes after plans to move the site were unveiled in March – with the branch’s new postmaster keen to secure more space to offer a greater retail offering.
The new venue will be fully refurbished when it opens, with an additional stationary shop and five serving positions.
While the current branch is closed, customers requiring Post Office services will have to go to branches at 37A Park Parade, Leigh Park; 26 Park Lane, Bedhampton or 424 Havant Road, Farlington.
The new site will be open from 9am until 5.30pm from Monday to Friday, closing at 2.30pm on Saturdays.
