Photographer from Hayling Island creates precious newborn baby pictures from home photo shoots during coronavirus lockdown
and live on Freeview channel 276
Mum-of-three Hannah, who runs Little Pixels photography company, is usually busy doing newborn photo shoots at her Hayling Island base, but with restrictions to stop the spread of coronavirus her work came to an abrupt end.
Forced to think of ways to stay in business, Hannah put her photography and editing skills to the test and started creating bespoke edited photos using pictures taken by the families themselves.

Hide AdHannah, 30, said: ‘Lots of newborn babies and their families are missing out on shoots, I usually take photos within one to three weeks of a baby being born, with lockdown being two months already, lots of people have been missing out on capturing those precious moments.
‘I started off with my existing clients, trying to arrange shoots for when lockdown is over, but I said in the meantime send over some photographs, which I gave them guidance to take, and I edited them with beautiful backgrounds.
‘They are as close to the real thing as possible. This time in a baby’s life is so precious, all the little details.
‘They change so much in that short time.
‘Normally there are lots of photographers, in the hospital wards and with studios like me, but lockdown means there are none.

Hide Ad‘People really value these pictures and they treasure them for the rest of their lives.
‘I was asked to do one, then it has snowballed from there. I have now sent images to people all over the country, and in Scotland, Ireland, and even America.’
Hannah charges £20 for her work, which can take her hours to do and gives customers a digital image that they can reproduce.
As well as newborn shoots, Hannah has been editing photos of families with babies who have died and also making matching sets for families with older children from old photos.

Hide AdHannah, who has a degree in photography, said: ‘I had never considered doing something like this before lockdown. It started off small and it has grown there.
‘The support has been great. I feel like I am doing something positive and creating beautiful images in a difficult situation.
‘People are struggling and it is an especially difficult time for families with a new baby, but I hope that this is a nice distraction from everything for them.’
