Portsmouth Pride 2018: Full parade route, South Western Railway strikes and everything else you need to know
The LGBTQ+ parade and event will be taking over Southsea on Saturday (September 15).Â
Last year hundreds of people flocked to the city for Portsmouth Pride.Â
The event is now in its fourth year.Â
Here is everything you need to know about it:Â
What is the parade route?Â

Hide AdFor this year's Portsmouth Pride, the parade will start at Coffee Cup in Eastney Esplanade, Southsea, then continue down the seafront, past Canoe Lake, and up to The Bandstand next to Southsea Castle.Â
When does the parade begin?Â
Portsmouth Pride's parade will start at 10.30am at Coffee Cup in Eastney Esplanade and will last around an hour.Â
What other events are on?Â
As well as the parade, Portsmouth Pride will also have guests making speeches on the main stage at the Bandstand from 11.30am until noon.Â
Between noon and 5pm there will be a range of entertainment including:Â

- charity, local businesses and organisation stalls.Â

Hide AdThen Hampshire Boulevard Bar and Nightclub will be hosting an after party between 4pm and 6am on Sunday (September 16).Â

Drag queen Alexis Michelle is headlining Portsmouth Pride this year.Â

Do I need a ticket?Â
Portsmouth Pride is offering Alexis Monroe Meet and Greet tickets which start at £20 for standard tickets and £35 for VIP ones.Â
What about South Western Railway strikes?Â
Due to an ongoing dispute between the RMT union and South Western Railway there will be strikes on Saturday.Â
