Hide AdThomas Cook has announced package holidaymakers will be able to reserve sun loungers for their entire stay for an extra fee during the booking process.
Daniel said: ‘It is good to see other companies embracing a system that we first developed. Anything that helps improve standards in resorts has to be welcomed.
‘I only see this as a positive move in that the unseemly dawn rush to lay towels on sunbeds may finally come to an end.
‘We won’t have to look too far into the future for this to become the norm.’

Hide AdDaniel developed BookMySunbed after discovering no smart reservation system for sun loungers existed following a booking mix-up.
He said: ‘We are happy to pre-book restaurant tables, cinema seats and aeroplane tickets, so why not sunbeds too? They are an important factor when seeking a stress-free holiday.
‘We believe making it easier for resorts to deal with their customers and remove anxiety and uncertainty.’
The app allows sun-seekers to browse and select beach resorts and hotels online or on smartphones in English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Greek and Russian and also gives travellers access to last-minute availability and exclusive offers.

‘BookMySunbed, is the solution that so many holidaymakers have been waiting for – a simple and effective way to reserve the best poolside spot.
‘In a few taps, you can reserve your perfect sunbed and pay online and then we send you and the resort an email confirmation of your booking, and will also remind you the day before so the only thing they have to worry about is sitting back and soaking up the sun.’
