Donation to school to buy cookery equipment
The school has benefitted from a variety of new equipment, including baking trays and utensils.
Children from Year 3 will be first to use the new items, delving in to bake healthy muffins, all with their own piece of equipment.

Hide AdTessa Senior, design technology co-ordinator for Bishop’s Waltham Junior School, said: ‘The donated equipment is really fantastic.
‘It has enabled us to teach cookery skills to the whole class at once and undertake more ambitious projects.’
Mark Mullan, area business manager for The Southern Co-operative said: ‘At The Southern Co-operative, we’re extremely passionate about food and engaging with our local communities.
‘It’s wonderful that we have been able to help the children at Bishop’s Waltham School to get cooking and have fun experimenting with new foods as part of their education.’

Hide AdIn addition, local kitchen shop, Apple Crumble & Kitsch, donated 15 child-friendly knives for the kids to use in their food tech lessons.
The donation by the Southern Co-operative is part of a grant from the culmination of a collaborative project.
