Southsea Medical Centre tells patients 'there's no coronavirus here' after brief closure

Southsea Medical Centre in Carlisle Road, Southsea, briefly shut on Thursday afternoon.
However staff at the practice have since confirmed that they do not have a case of coronavirus – which is known by the official name Covid-19.

Hide AdAndy McKie, operations manager at Southsea Medical Centre, said: ‘We did shut temporarily but it was a precautionary measure.
‘There is not any Covid-19 here.’
It comes after five pupils at Springfield School in Drayton went into self-isolation.
The students had been part of a school skiing trip to Italy during half-term this week.
They have self-isolated after showing respiratory symptoms – such as cough, shortness of breath, fever – as is the current guidance from Public Health England.
