SOUTHSEA GREEN: Creating a postivie and sustainable food culture
We have built an urban city garden at Treadgolds, originally a 19th century dockyard ironmongers in Portsea, to be used by local community groups. We are looking for volunteers to help maintain and grow the project.
We’d like schools, parents and toddlers and isolated groups to grow and learn about where food comes from. We also collect surplus food from supermarkets with FoodCycle, and turn it into community meals twice a week.
