'Bearded' men attempted to rob teenager in Gosport park, say police

Hampshire Constabulary is appealing for witnesses after an attempted robbery on a 17-year-old boy in Leesland Park, Gosport, at 10.40pm on Wednesday, July 29.
The teenager was riding on his bike towards the skate park when the two men blocked his path – one of whom then produced a knife and threatened the boy.

Hide AdFortunately, the victim managed to cycle away and was not only unharmed, but was able to give police detailed descriptions of both the men and the weapon he was threatened with.
A spokesman for Hampshire Constabulary said: ‘The suspects are described as being aged between 18-20, both white males and both had beards.
‘The first male is around 5ft 6in and is described as being of medium to stocky build with a full face beard. He was wearing a grey tracksuit.
‘The second suspect is around 6ft tall, of slim build, and was wearing a darker grey tracksuit.

Hide Ad‘The knife is described as a four inch black lock knife with an orange metal handle with black splashes on it.’
Police are hoping that anyone who was in the vicinity at the time might have CCTV or dash-cam footage that could help with their investigation.
