Cars torched in 'malicious' attack in Bedhampton

Firefighters were called to Michael Crook Close in Bedhampton in the early hours of this morning, after a car fire spread to a second vehicle.
They say the fire was started deliberately, and police are now investigating the incident.

Hide AdCrew manager Simon Morford from Havant Fire Station said: ‘It looked like it had been done maliciously, having started after a disagreement.
‘The fire started just underneath the engine bay of the first car, and spread to a second vehicle.
‘Nobody was injured but both cars were destroyed in the blaze – the police were also called.’
A spokeswoman from Hampshire Constabulary said: ‘We were called at 8.30am reporting a vehicle fire which happened at around 1am in Michael Crook Close, Havant.

Hide Ad‘Two cars, a Hyundai and Kia, were burnt out as a result of the fire.
‘Investigations into the cause of the fire are ongoing.’
