Fareham man, 46, arrested for drug-driving after crash with motorcyclist on A27 leaves man fighting for life

A 46-year-old man from Fareham has been arrested by officers after a 29-year-old man from Portsmouth suffered life threatening injuries following the incident on the A27 yesterday morning at 5.50am.
The man remains in hospital in a stable condition following the crash just prior to St Margaret’s Roundabout in Titchfield.

Hide AdThe incident saw police attempt to track down a dark coloured vehicle that collided with the motorcyclist before fleeing the scene.
A police spokeswoman said: ‘We have since arrested a 46-year-old man from Fareham on suspicion of driving whilst unfit through drugs.
‘He has been released under investigation to allow for further enquiries to take place. We continue to appeal to anyone who may have seen what happened.
‘If you were on this stretch of road in the early hours Tuesday and witnessed this incident, or have dash cam footage that may be able to assist us, please get in touch.’
