Hide Adn James Corcoran, 47, of Durrants Road, Rowlands Castle, admitted theft of items worth £372.99 from Boots in Portsmouth on March 23.
He admitted breaching a suspended sentence previously given for taking a vehicle without consent.
He was jailed for eight weeks for the theft and the previous eight-week suspended sentence was activated.
Both will run concurrently, making the sentence eight weeks in total.
