Inmate jailed for firearms offences could be hiding in Portsmouth after fleeing prison

Jay Davis, 33, fled from Ford Open Prison, West Sussex, on October 12 and has been on the run ever since.
In an appeal on Friday, Sussex Police said the criminal was serving a sentence for possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.

Hide AdAnd in a fresh post today, the force warned Davis may now have travelled to Hampshire, ‘in particular Portsmouth’.
‘Do not approach him, instead dial 999 if you see him,’ a police spokesperson said.
Davis is described as 5ft 6in, of slim build, with brown hair.
The inmate was previously spotted at Chichester railway station.
