Kayleigh Dunning: Accused killer denies murdering Portsmouth woman before Christmas

Kayleigh Dunning, 32 from Portsmouth, was found dead in Kingston Crescent, North End, on December 17.
Mark Brandford, 48, of Kingston Crescent, North End, was charged with her murder by detectives days later, on Saturday, December 21.

Hide AdToday, the accused killer appeared in front of a judge at Portsmouth Crown Court.
Wearing a grey jumper covered by a teal-coloured shirt and glasses, Brandford spoke only to confirm his name and address before pleading not guilty to murder.
During the 25-minute hearing, Brandford’s defence barrister, Stephen Harvey QC, and prosecutor Simon Jones agreed a time frame for the two-week trial, which will take place in Portsmouth on June 8.
Judge Timothy Mousley QC said Bradford would be remanded until his next court date on May 22.
