'Large scale' Southsea cannabis farm found by police after man spotted acting suspiciously

Officers were called to Grayshott Road in Southsea at 3.05am this morning after reports of suspicious behaviour at a property.
Upon arriving police carried out a search and found that it was being used as a ‘large scale’ cannabis factory.

Hide AdHowever before raiding the illegal farm, officers had to call for help from Southern and Scottish Electricity to ‘make sure it was safe’.
A police spokesman said: ‘Police officers conducted a search of the property and located a large number of cannabis plants.
‘These were subsequently seized along with a mobile phone.
‘No one was present at the address at the time and as such no arrests have been made.’
On Twitter police added: ‘Sudden throwback to being in the middle of the heatwave - Cosham E-relief only went and found a large scale cannabis factory!
