It happened at aroud 9.30pm on Sunday, March 27.
Investigating Officer DC Julie Way said: ‘This is an extremely rare incident and doesn’t seem to be linked to any other reports. The premises was targeted at night when it was very wet and windy and not many people were out and about.
‘We are still trying to establish if the weapon seen was a genuine handgun or an imitation firearm. Thankfully no-one was injured in this incident.
‘I’m especially keen to hear from a man and a woman who used the store shortly beforehand and who may have seen what happened. I’d also like to hear from anyone who may have found discarded clothing in the area.’
