Police arrest Hayling Island man, 69, over exposing genitals to women along trail

Officers issued an appeal last week after two women reported being subjected to indecent exposure on the Billy Trail - resulting in the arrest of a man from Hayling Island.
The first incident occurred on Tuesday, January 19, between 11.45am and midday between the bridge and middle car park.

Hide Ad‘As a woman was out jogging, she saw a man exposing himself,’ police said.
The second incident occurred on Thursday, January 21 at around 12.34pm on the Billy Line Walk.
‘A woman walking along the trail saw a man acting suspiciously in some bushes before he indecently exposed himself,’ police said.
‘Neither woman was injured. Both are currently being supported by officers.’

Hide AdFollowing the arrest, Hayling Island police posted on Facebook: ‘As a direct result of our appeal last week, we have now made an arrest in relation to two suspicious incidents reported to us involving a man indecently exposing himself to passers-by on the Billy Trail, Hayling Island.
‘A 69-year-old man from Hayling Island has been arrested on suspicion of indecent exposure. He has been released on conditional police bail while our enquiries continue.
‘We would like to thank everyone who has shared our appeal or assisted us with information so far.’
