Portsmouth Billy Green murder probe: Lewis Green appears at Winchester Crown Court accused of killing brother

Lewis Green, 23, of Tewkesbury Close, Paulsgrove, was at Winchester Crown Court today having been charged with murder.
He is accused of killing his older brother, 26-year-old Billy Green, in a stabbing last Monday outside Pickwick House in Wingfield Street, Buckland.

Hide AdMedics and members of the public tried to save Mr Green but officers confirmed on the same day that he had died at the scene.
Addressing Green, judge Angela Morris adjourned the case ahead of setting a trial date and whether or not the case will be heard at Portsmouth Crown Court.
She said: ‘Mr Green there is no trial date set, that will happen fairly shortly.
‘In the meantime this being your first appearance at this court, what has now happened is a timetable has been set for documents to be served on your instructing solicitors.’

Hide AdThe judge, who started her role as Recorder of Winchester today, added: ‘I will remand you into custody in the meantime.’
No plea was entered during the hearing this morning.
