Video footage shows a small group smashing the window of a Land Rover Discovery in Lower Church Path, Portsmouth, on Wednesday afternoon – using a fire extinguisher.
They took a handbag from inside and ran off down the road.

‘It sounded like somebody had crashed into a wall. I came outside and saw three people running off.
‘They took a Louis Vuitton handbag so it was an expensive one.
‘The people running off looked quite young – I just couldn’t believe that they carried a fire extinguisher around with them and were brazen enough to commit a crime like this in broad daylight.’

‘An investigation into the incident is ongoing.’
