Two people injured in Southsea homophobic assault
Police say that a 22-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman were approached by three white men in St Pauls Road, by the Hampshire Boulevard venue, between 2.45am and 3.15am on Saturday.
The men, described as being in their early 20s, threw food at the victims before shouting homophobic abuse and assaulting them.

Hide AdThe woman suffered a fracture around her left eye socket while the man recieved a cut lip.
Detective Constable Sharon Lewry, of Fratton CID, said: ‘This was a totally unprovoked attack and it is being treated as a homophobic incident.
‘While this was an isolated incident, we will not tolerate assaults of this kind.
‘If anyone saw what happened, they should call 101 as soon as possible.’
