Waterlooville cyclist captures moment young girl travelling in car with no seatbelt

Police were able to take action over the July 15 incident that happened in London Road, Waterlooville.
This was because the cyclist reported it, and submitted the footage, to the Hants Snap initiative.

Hide AdOfficers are accepting footage of road incidents from the public so they can take action.
It comes after a a 10-month pilot saw formal action taken around 29 per cent of incidents reported via the system.
The latest incident in London Road saw the 28-year-old driver admit the offence of having a child under 14 not wearing a seatbelt.
He undertook an educational seatbelt course instead of being slapped with a fine.

Hide AdRoads policing officers tweeted: ‘This driver in Waterlooville put their young passenger at risk by failing to secure them in their seat.
‘Reported through #HantsSNAP and the driver was required to take part in an educational course for his offence.’
