Woman, 53, arrested in Portsmouth on suspicion of arson and carrying a blade

Officers were called to a home in Copnor Road, Portsmouth, after a fire was spotted at about 12.20am on Thursday, November 26.
A student police officer reported on social media that they spotted the incident during their first shift in the city.

A 53-year-old woman from Portsmouth was arrested on suspicion of arson and possession of a knife blade or sharp pointed article in a public place, according to a spokesman from Hampshire Constabulary.
He said: ‘She has been bailed while enquiries are ongoing.’
