Family launch walk in memory of mum
Jon Jones, his 14-year-old daughter Adrienne and 12-year-old son Isaac, from Lee-on-the-Solent, Gosport, have launched the Follow The Seagulls walk in partnership with the charity Braintrust.
Braintrust is a charity that provides 24/7 support for brain tumour patients and their carers and recently launched the UK’s first nationwide brain tumour support service for children.

Adrienne said: ‘Mum really enjoyed the walk. It was a challenge for all of us, but it felt good afterwards. I was really proud of her.’
Jo was a huge advocate for Braintrust and a friend of everyone at the charity.
Helen Bulbeck, who represented the charity at the launch, said: ‘Jo was an inspiration to us all.

‘This year’s Follow The Seagulls walk is in her memory. The money raised will help us to continue supporting the thousands of people like Jo who are affected by brain tumours every year.’
The long-distance walk will start in Cowes on April 1, and follow a clockwise route around the coast of the island before finishing in Yarmouth the following day.
Last year’s walk raised more than £20,000, but Braintrust hopes to hit £50,000 this year.
