Fort Nelson to fire different guns on Sundays
On selected Sundays throughout the year, the fort, in Portsdown Hill Road, Fareham, holds gun drills by uniformed detachments from Portsdown Artillery Volunteers.
The guns are fired at 11.30am, 2pm and 3pm.
One of the big guns will be fired daily as usual at 1pm.
On March 20, a 13-inch land service mortar will be fired with the next event on May 1 where by a smooth-bore breech loader will be on display.

Hide AdThe Battle of Waterloo will be commemorated on June 19 when British and French guns will be fired.
And on June 26, visitors will be able to see a seven-inch Armstrong rifled breech loader while August 21 will welcome a saluting gun.
