Borough almost snatched an equaliser four minutes from full-time but a yellow shirt could not get on the end of Harry Medway's dangerous cross.Â
Meanwhile, Moneyfields fell to a 2-0 loss against Winchester City in Southern League division one south at Dover Road.
The hosts found themselves a goal down at half-time, while Jamie Barron had two free-kicks saved for City early in the second period.
Winchester's pressure eventually told, though, with Moneys conceding a second.Â
